Section 01

What Praxis Quran Maps is

Praxis Quran Maps (خرائط القرآن) is a web app by Paracode: an editable concept-map canvas anchored to Quran verses, with a browsable mushaf, a daily journal, tags, book excerpts and image bubbles. It runs in your browser at maps.qnotes.ai and can be installed to a home screen.

Section 02

What we store

Without an account: nothing reaches us. Your maps, notes, links, tags, excerpts, frames and settings are stored in your browser (local storage), and the images you paste or drop are stored in the browser's IndexedDB. We cannot see any of it.

With a Praxis account (optional; Google sign-in or email and password): we store your email address, display name where Google provides one, the date the account was created and the date your trial started, your plan status (trial, Pro, or trial ended), and a private copy of your maps and images so they survive clearing the browser and follow you to other devices.

Text read out of a picture (the OCR button) is produced on your device by a library the browser downloads once; the picture and the text are never uploaded for that purpose.

We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or crash reporters in the app.

Section 03

Services the app talks to

The app loads its typeface from Google Fonts and, if you sign in, Google's Firebase libraries. The OCR library (Tesseract.js) and its Arabic and English language files are fetched from the jsDelivr content network the first time you use the button and cached by the browser. No other third-party requests are made unless you sign in or buy Pro.

Section 04

Where it lives

Account data and cloud copies are stored in Google Firebase (United States) in a project operated by Paracode and used only by this app. Google processes this data under its standard data-protection terms, including the EU standard contractual clauses for transfers. Each account's data is private: only you, signed in, can read or write it.

Payments are handled by Paddle.com, our merchant of record. Paddle collects your payment details and billing address directly; we never see your card number. Paddle shares with us only what is needed to switch Pro on (a customer reference, your email and the purchase status).

Section 05

What we do with it

We use your information only to run Praxis Quran Maps for you: to sync your maps, to know which plan you are on, and to answer your support requests. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it to train anything. Your reflections are yours.

Section 06

How long we keep it

Cloud data stays as long as your account exists. Data in your browser stays until you clear the site's data or delete it in the app. When a trial ends nothing is deleted. Paddle keeps invoicing records for as long as tax law requires.

Section 07

Your choices and rights

You can use the app without an account. You can download a full backup of your maps and images at any time (⬇ حفظ الكل), signed in or not, during and after the trial. You can delete your cloud data and account by emailing us; we complete deletion within 30 days and confirm by email. If you are in the EU/EEA, UK or another region with data-protection rights, you can also ask us for a copy of your data or to correct it.

Section 08

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and show a notice in the app before the change takes effect.
